What are the prerequisites for the Open Water Scuba Diving Course?
Be at least 15 and have adequate swimming skills. You should also be in good physical health.
Do I need to be a strong swimer?
No, you don't need to be a strong swimmer, divers wear fins and move their legs in a different way to swimmers. You do need to have basic swimming skills and should be able to tread water.
Do I need to have any prior experience with scuba diving?
No prior scuba diving experience is required. The Open Water course is designed for beginners and covers all the basics you need to become a certified diver.
How long does the course take to complete?
The course typically takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete, but this can vary depending on the schedule and the pace at which you progress. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your availability. (Slower and Faster)
What does the course include?
The course includes a mixture of classroom sessions and online learning, confined water dives in a pool or shallow water to practice skills, and open water dives to apply what you’ve learned.
What equipment will I need, and is it provided?
We can provide all the necessary diving equipment, including a mask, fins, snorkel, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive computer, and tank, this may be fully or partially included in your Pack, check out the PRO package and PRO membership for fully inclusive options.
Can I use my own equipment?
Although we strongly encourage people to use their own equipment we reserve the right to decline you using a certain piece of equipment if it; hinders with your learning, isn't suitable for the level you are diving at, isn't fully serviced. If you want to buy some of your own equipment prior to the course, please consult with us prior to purchasing.
Is scuba diving safe?
Scuba diving is a safe activity when proper procedures are followed. Our course includes thorough training on safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure your well-being underwater.
What will I be certified to do after completing the course?
Upon successful completion, you will receive an Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet) with a buddy, without the supervision of a professional.

What if I have a medical condition?

Absolutely! All our courses adhere by ISO and RSTC standards, meaning they can be continued world wide with any agency. We offer advanced courses and specialty certifications to further enhance your skills and diving experience.

The Basic Open Water course is designed to give you a bare bones, affordable option to learn how to dive. This option runs on a set schedule with no flexibility to change dates. It includes the core equipment you will use on the course.
