A technical certification records that you met a standard at a point in time. It does not mean every skill stayed sharp, that every part of your original course clicked, or that your current equipment is helping you.
We regularly work with divers who already hold the qualification they need but still feel that something is missing. The goal is not to judge the previous training. It is to establish exactly where you are now and make the diving work.
You do not necessarily need another course. Sometimes you need a day with an experienced coach who can identify why the skill is failing.
