The Apeks EVX200 1st + 2nd Stage Regulator Set is the cold-water companion for divers who want next-level toughness and refined, future-proof breathing. Designed and manufactured in Britain, with zero guesswork in engineering and zero hesitation at depth, this is the setup that rewards serious diving — whether you’re dipping into winter sea layers or racking up training hours in inland sites.
The first stage body is forged from brass, then armoured in PVD coating for a finish that laughs at corrosion, impact and salt-heavy abuse. Engineered around an over‑balanced diaphragm, medium pressure gas is intelligently boosted on descent — rising faster than ambient water pressure to deliver stronger, smoother and more stable airflow as you go deeper.
Five MP ports give hose routing freedom across all configurations, while dual angled HP ports support optimal alignment and secure transmitter fitting with devices such as the Shearwater and Garmin. Add in the ribbed diaphragm clamp and dedicated heat-exchange ribs, and you’ve got a front end engineered to siphon warmth while dumping the chill of gas expansion — increasing resilience where British diving tries hardest to test it.
Water staying out? Already engineered in. The ACD system seals on disconnection, stopping water from ever rushing where it shouldn’t — backed by the ACD (Auto Closure Device) mechanism. Combined with the double-swivel LP hose, comfort and movement aren’t bonuses — they’re foundations.
The EVX200 second stage introduces breathing precision without complication. A laminar flow valve and Laminar Flow Valve minimise turbulence, maximise consistency and support low-effort inhalation. The oversized breathing resistance adjuster is glove-friendly and mid-dive practical, while the venturi lever stays tactile, ergonomic and grit-resistant when conditions get silty or cold-numb.
Control your inhale. Control your purge. The progressive 2-stage purge offers a side-press for controlled gas delivery during DSMB fills or buoyancy bag deployments, then a centre-press for full-power clearing when seconds matter. Configuration freedom continues here too — the second stage is fully reversible for left- or right-hand gas supply, making sidemount routing and stage rigs cleaner and dramatically more adaptive.
Bubble interference is history, not a hope. The DCE system lets you swap between compact or wider exhaust tees depending on visibility, task or environment. Both exhaust tees are included — no up-selling, no missing kit, no compromises.
Cold-water flexible, not cold-water fragile. Supplied with a thermal-stable braided nylon hose that outperforms standard rubber when temperatures dive, plus the trusted Comfo‑Bite mouthpiece to keep dives long and fatigue short.
