SGS Tech Lab is the practical equipment side of ScubaDivingGear.uk: a place where servicing, fitting, configuration and education come together. We do not just want to hand equipment back across the counter — where appropriate, we want to help you understand what has been changed, why it matters and how your system should work.

The Lab supports recreational and technical divers with regulator servicing, harness and wing setup, regulator configuration, equipment courses, blending courses, workshops and problem-solving sessions. Some are bookable services, some are courses and some are scheduled group events.

Servicing and technical work still need to be carried out to the appropriate standard, but that does not mean the process has to be hidden from you. Where appropriate, SGS Tech Lab explains what we find, why a change is needed, how your configuration affects performance and what you can do to look after your equipment between services.

What does SGS Tech Lab do?

SGS Tech Lab covers regulator servicing, equipment inspection, harness and wing fitting, regulator and hose configuration, equipment workshops, gas blending courses and practical help getting dive equipment fitted and functioning correctly.

Can you help configure equipment I already own?

Yes. The Lab is not limited to equipment purchased from us. We can help assess harness fit, weighting layout, hose routing, regulator configuration and how different components work together.

Is SGS Tech Lab only for technical divers?

No. The Lab supports recreational and technical divers. A new diver needing a harness fitted properly can benefit just as much as a technical diver refining a multi-regulator configuration.

Can I be involved while my equipment is configured?

That is a central part of the Tech Lab concept. Where practical and appropriate, we want you involved so the final setup fits you and you understand why it has been configured that way.

Do you run equipment and gas blending courses?

Yes. Equipment-focused sessions and gas blending courses can be scheduled through the Lab. Upcoming group dates can be published on this page.

How do I book Tech Lab help?
