Based on the legendary MTX-R platform, this isn’t a stripped-back compromise — it’s a system purpose redesigned from the hose out for dedicated sidemount diving.
Thermal stability you can trust. The forged brass first stage is wrapped in aggressive heat-exchange ribs, reinforced by a ribbed diaphragm clamp and an over-moulded impact-shielding endcap. It actively blocks water and contaminants from its spring chamber, helping shut down freeze-induced free-flow risks before they even begin — making it genuinely at home in sub-10°C British water.
Pressure that works for you. The over-balanced diaphragm architecture intelligently pushes medium pressure gas faster than the surrounding water pressure rises on descent — giving you confident, stable airflow at depth without spiking inhalation effort. This is physics optimised for adventure.
Hose orientation that finally makes sense. Five MP ports, including a protected 5th 3/8" UNF port with a flush-mounted bumper, feed into a parallel, 360° rotating turret — letting sidemount hoses sit clean, untwisted and perfectly aligned along the cylinders instead of fighting across them. Angled high-pressure ports complete the routing logic, supporting secure transmitter fitting and tidy hose exits with popular devices from Suunto or compact pressure senders from Shearwater Research.
Second stage control — simplified, not softened. The balanced poppet valve brings high performance inhalation stability, backed by a glove-friendly, self-flushing purge you can operate without drama. Impact-zone elastomer bumpers shield the vulnerable edges during valve shutdowns, inflations, entries and exits. The front cover integrates a chrome-plated brass durability plate inside its elastomer armour — protecting the internals from the life your dives will throw at them.
Reversible. Redundant. Ready. The second stage flips to left or right gas feed in seconds, making primary donation and alternate routing cleaner across stage bottles and bailout blocks. Dual hose swivels at both 1st and 2nd stage eliminate neck-and-jaw torque during prolonged valve drills and long profile dives. The braided nylon hose stays supple, even when temperatures drop to the point your buddy’s hoses feel like cable ties.
Cold-certified pedigree. EN250A cold-water approved for octopus use and enriched gas compatible up to 40% oxygen outside the EU, it brings credentials that experienced divers respect, not marketing claims they hope are true.
