The Apeks MTX‑RC Regulator Set is the benchmark for divers who expect elite performance when others stay shoreside. Developed, designed and manufactured in the UK, this 1st + 2nd stage system is forged for hostile conditions — from near-freezing quarry training days to storm-stirred Celtic Sea descents and polar expeditions where failure is not optional.
The satin-finished brass first stage body is reinforced with oversized heat-exchange ribs, a ribbed diaphragm clamp, and a thermal clamp that dumps cold while harvesting warmth from surrounding water. It’s engineered around an over-balanced diaphragm that actively increases hose gas pressure faster than ambient pressure rises as you go deeper — meaning harder, cleaner airflow and unrivalled stability at depth.
More ports. Less stress. Smarter routing. Five MP ports — four positioned on a rotating turret — let you orient hoses exactly where you want them, not where the regulator demands. Twin angled HP ports optimise routing, mounting of transmitters, and secure hose alignment under bulky exposure protection and drysuit neck seals. The double-swivel low-pressure hose adds a liberating range of movement that makes every rotation of your head smoother and every valve interaction cleaner.
Impact protection that’s truly field-ready. The breakthrough over-moulded first-stage endcap and environmental diaphragm don’t just suppress ice-induced free-flow, they shield your regulator from hard knocks, deck drops and kit-bench abuse between dives — because real-world diving is tough on gear, even if you’re not.
The second stage carries the same DNA: reinforced protective bumpers defend the most vulnerable edges from impact and abrasion, while the oversized breathing effort adjuster is glove-friendly, tactile, and built to be dialled mid-dive without breaking focus. The venturi lever is deliberately simple and ergonomic — and the entire second stage is reversible for either left- or right-hand gas feed, giving ultimate configuration freedom for sidemount, bailout and stages.
Exhale your way — literally. The innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) System lets you switch between a compact exhaust tee (for minimal bubble interference and tighter rig geometry) and a large exhaust tee (for wider gas dissipation and maximum comfort in rougher conditions). Both sets of exhaust tees are included in the box, ready to be swapped without tools, to suit the dive, conditions and environment.
Cold-ready, not cold-fragile. Supplied with a flexible braided nylon hose that performs better in low temperatures than traditional rubber, plus the signature Comfo-bite mouthpiece to eliminate jaw stress, so you can dive longer and think less about fatigue.
