The Apeks XTX50 Stage3 Regulator Set delivers the configuration serious divers actually want — a complete primary regulator and a matched high-performance octopus system, ready for coastal, quarry and cold-temperate diving straight from the box. Stage-3 means you’re set to dive and donate gas with confidence — the only thing left to add is your pressure gauge (the final piece in a Stage-4 rig).
Breathing that gets better the deeper you go
The first stage uses an over-balanced diaphragm design that actively increases medium-pressure hose gas flow faster than ambient pressure rises on descent. The result? Strong, stable delivery at depth, smoother breathing, and unwavering reliability when the dive drops past recreational shallows and into demanding territory.

Cold water is where this system earns its stripes. Multiple heat-exchange points, smart internal sealing and contamination protection help reduce freeze risk and keep silt, grit and debris out of the spring chamber. From surf entries off the Cornish coast to sub-10°C inland training, this is a first stage that doesn’t flinch when temperatures fall or visibility turns green-brown.
Five medium-pressure ports (if you install the 5th port kit) support cleaner hose orientation, while dual high-pressure ports allow tidy routing and secure fitting.

The XTX50 second stage is driven by a pneumatically balanced poppet valve, giving low-effort inhalation and consistent work-of-breathing across the profile. Large, glove-friendly controls include an oversized venturi lever for reliable airflow tuning and a high-control breathing resistance adjuster for real-time cracking pressure refinement mid-dive.
Redundancy that means something: the octopus shares the same balanced inhale pedigree, tested to cold-water performance standards under EN250A for breathing backup reliability. No cheap seconds, no afterthought alternates — a properly capable redundant air source, ready for primary donation training.
Purging with purpose
The 2-stage progressive purge gives a side-press for controlled, gentle gas delivery (perfect for SMB and bag fills), then a centre-press for full clearing power when it’s needed. A silicone exhaust valve improves exhale efficiency, while the signature Comfo-Bite mouthpiece helps eliminate jaw stress and fatigue.
Cold-flex hoses that stay dive-friendly, not cable-stiff
A braided nylon hose keeps flexibility and flow steady in colder conditions, outperforming old-style rubber when temperatures drop.
